Angel's Egg

Angel's Egg is an anime movie from 1985 directed by Mamoru Oshii with art by Yoshitaka Amano. Heavy with symbolism, and little dialog or plot, the movie is nevertheless strangely moving and breathtakingly beautiful. Of special interest is the musical score by Yoshihiro Kanno. Stylistically in the "20th century classical" genre, it can be challenging listening, but very rewarding.
